For our location in Radebeul / Dresden / Europe, we are seeking a dedicated
Business Development Manager (m/f/d).


Your Responsibilities:

  • Strategic marketing and market development
  • – Developing a deep understanding of trends in the European semiconductor market, technology roadmaps, customer challenges, investment priorities, and regulatory and sustainability-related drivers
  • – Identifying unmet customer needs and translating them into new solution concepts, priority application areas, and qualified business opportunities.
  • – Defining target segments, value propositions, and market entry strategies for water treatment systems and process-related water solutions
  • – Monitoring competitors, new technologies, and changes across the entire semiconductor ecosystem, and sharing actionable market information to internal stakeholders

  • Business Development and Commercialization
  • – Creating and driving new business opportunities across Europe, from early-stage concept development through evaluation and commercial launch to the expansion of the customer base.
  • – Developing market entry and expansion strategies for next-generation manufacturing processes and new application areas
  • – Create compelling business cases and differentiated value propositions that align with customers’ goals regarding technology, productivity, quality, and sustainability.
  • – Lead or coordinate technical workshops, proof-of-concept activities, joint evaluations, and commercialization plans with customers and partners.
  • – Collaborating with internal teams from the technical, engineering, sales, and management departments to transform market opportunities into actionable growth initiatives.

  • Technology Scouting and Ecosystem Engagement
  • – Maintain dialogue with leading R&D organizations, innovation ecosystems, semiconductor manufacturers, equipment suppliers, and materials suppliers to identify future technology requirements.
  • – Track developments in wafer cleaning, wet processes, advanced packaging technologies, hybrid bonding, surface preparation, and other emerging semiconductor applications.
  • – Translate technological developments and process-related challenges into commercially viable opportunities for Kurita.
  • – Initiate and support joint development programs with external partners and internal technology teams.

  • Customer and Partner Development
  • – Build and strengthen trusting relationships with technical, operational, procurement, and executive decision-makers across the entire semiconductor value chain.
  • – Leverage and expand Kurita’s established position in the European semiconductor market to create additional opportunities at the equipment and process levels.
  • – Develop long-term partnership strategies and customer development plans with selected customers and partners in the ecosystem.
  • – Position Kurita as a strategic technology partner, not merely as a water treatment or utility service provider.

  • Strategic Planning
  • – Contributing to the European growth strategy for the semiconductor sector, to business planning, and to setting priorities for technology investments.
  • – Building opportunity pipelines, defining development milestones, and providing clear progress reports and recommendations to senior management.
  • – Provide insights into the market, customers, technology, and competition to support portfolio development and resource allocation.

Your Qualifications and Requirements:

– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, chemistry, materials science, physics, or a related field

– At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in the semiconductor industry, including roles in customer service, market development, technology development, or business development

– Experience in one or more of the following areas: semiconductor manufacturing; process or integration technology; wet processing or wafer cleaning; advanced packaging techniques; semiconductor equipment; semiconductor materials or chemicals; water treatment in production facilities; or technical business development

– In-depth understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, technology trends, and the interplay between facility infrastructure and process requirements

– Excellent communication skills, persuasiveness, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills

– Fluent business English and willingness to travel within Europe

– Class B driver’s license

Preferred

– Experience collaborating with semiconductor R&D organizations, leading manufacturers, equipment suppliers, or innovation ecosystems in Europe

– Knowledge of advanced packaging techniques, hybrid bonding, wafer cleaning, surface preparation, or advanced water-based process applications.

– Experience in technology scouting, strategic marketing, joint development, proof-of-concept programs, or the commercialization of new technologies.

– An established professional network within the European semiconductor ecosystem.

– Additional knowledge of European languages
